The Red Travertine, one of the world's most rare travertine varieties; is extracted from Iran with certain regions of Turkey. Famous for having a very decorative structure and color, Turkish Red Travertine has been applied in many projects in the world. The United States and European countries usually prefer pattern sets with aged or tumble surfaces; while other countries prefer to use red traverten products with a polished, honed surface. While those who want to see the water veins located on the surface demand vein-cut products which is known as the Turkish cut; whereas those who do not want to see the water veins prefer cross cut products which is called the American cut. Turkish Red Travertine is also widely used in the production of split face, mosaic, sink, jamb, fireplace, garden ornament, fountain, railing, column and appliqué which are among the important natural stone export items of Turkey because of its decorative structure.

The Iranian travertine blocks, one of the best quality Red Travertine varieties in the world, are sometimes imported and processed in factories in Turkey and exported to world markets. Thanks to the machinery and equipment investments made in the Turkish natural stone sector in the last ten years, Turkey has become the most important natural stone producer and exporter in the world. Due to the abundance of natural stone resources and the relatively low cost of operation compared to other countries of the world, Turkish Red Travertine products are among the highest in the world in terms of price / quality ratio. Turkish Red Travertine products, which are among the types of travertine that do not require fillings due to not having too much perforated surface. It is produced in raw, honed, polished, aged, brushed and tumbled surfaces in every sizes requested by the customer. The Turkish Red Travertine has not a special product name and it is sometimes requested by the customers with the names like Arizona Red Travertine or Gala Red Travertine.
