INFORMATION ABOUT BOTTICINO BEIGE MARBLE
Botticino marble is one of the most famous project marble of Italy. Because Italy’s Botticino marble quarry reserves decreased by the operation of many years and become inadequate to ensure demand; new marble quarries opened in Turkey to supply market demand. This marble is darker colour when compared to other beige marble species. Selection of it is classified by the homogenity of colour and distribution of thin veins on the surface of the stone. First quality marble selections have more homogeneous background colour and less veins on it whereas second quality selections have vice versa.
The selection used as the main floor stone in many projects with beige marble resemblance; base color is beige or milky coffee tones and there is also a fine brown vein structure which distinguishes it from other marble varieties. The decorative appearance of the vein structure allows it to be worked in harmony with other marble varieties. Botticino Beige Marble can be separated into its own selection. Slabs with yellow veins are separated in low quality and sold mostly in the domestic market. First-class marble selection demanded from abroad is processed in our factory, passed through quality control, separated according to vein structure and is ready for export. Marble is very convenient during laying because the vein structure is not very frequent. The processed marble blocks are prepared as polishedslabs or cut-to-size material and other surface treatments such as sandblasting, honing and brushing can also be done.
It is adding value to the project thanks to the selection adaptation preferred in the special usage areas such as business center, hotel, hospital and villa abroad. According to other beige marble varieties, Botticino Marble is more suitable for the price because of its higher price. Orders received on a project basis are planned by the production department and started to be processed on time. The recommended size for the interior flooring operations is 2x60x60 cm. It is the most ideal measure in price/performance and it is the general produced measure because of the low rate of waste material. Although the marble selection is in solid construction, epoxy + net application is applied to the stone to protect it against cracking during laying. Prepared products are exported from İzmir and Antalya ports.
